Trade
In the modern world we can find many companies with a completely different profile of activity, among which there are also companies operating in the market on the basis of trade. This process involves the sale of goods produced or purchased earlier, which is why many companies are called intermediaries by law. Trade in Poland is the basic form of activity of many companies, but the profits achieved are not always in line with the amount of capital devoted to the development of the brand. Usually the margin is between a few and a dozen or so percent, but thanks to the large volume of sales it is still profitable.

What is commerce - general definition
Trade is the economic process of exchanging money and goods. Usually companies that operate on the basis of trade sell their products to private customers (consumers), others operate on the basis of intermediation. In their case, trade involves buying a good at a lower price from a supplier or wholesaler and selling it at a higher price to a final customer. Earnings are then the difference between the purchase price and the selling price minus deductible costs and fixed costs.
In Poland, we distinguish between several variants of trade. Retail means the sale of goods in small quantities, which as a rule are not intended for further resale by the buyer. This is the case with standard small and large shops as well as online shops offering a range of goods for private customers. Wholesale has completely different characteristics. In this case we are dealing with the sale of large, wholesale quantities of a given commodity to other companies or private customers, usually with the aim of reselling it and making further profits.
Differences also arise from the location of the trading company and its partners. If a company only operates in its home country, we speak of internal trade, where both parties to the cooperation buy and sell in the same country. International trade, on the other hand, involves the sale of goods abroad to private individuals or companies for further processing and resale.

International trade
International trade, also known as foreign trade, involves selling goods to partners located outside the country of our company's headquarters. This type of trade has many advantages, mainly from an economic point of view. Among other things, selling goods abroad is very profitable, as the other country also constitutes another market for the goods, which is particularly important after the market is saturated with a particular product or service. Foreign trade also has the advantage that each seller can set his prices according to the market, which is ideal when selling to much richer countries.

E-commerce - a popular and lucrative business
Until recently, trade was considered to be the sale of goods in a stationary shop, warehouse or manufacturing plant, but nowadays it is completely different. Nowadays, online trading, which involves selling goods online, is leading the economy. This form of selling assortment has many advantages. The most important one is the complete lack of dependence of a company on a particular location. A shop located in the city centre in most cases will generate less profit than an online shop, which can be successfully visited by customers from a completely different place in the country or even abroad. E-commerce opens up many opportunities for growth also due to lower costs of running a company. The entrepreneur does not have to decide to buy or rent premises in particularly popular locations and pay for its use from the margin, which is in the range of several percent of the final price of the product. In addition, there are no costs of employing stationary staff to serve customers at the point of sale. The assortment cannot be forgotten either. E-commerce in Poland makes it possible to significantly increase the range of products on offer without making large investments in increasing storage space and more.
